So as you all have probably realized, I don't really update this much.  No one ever seemed to read it anymore so I got myself a myspace, more people seem to get on that.  Here is the link incase anybody wants to check it out....http://www.myspace.com/setaime_moncheri

It's been awhile...  guess I should update.  The problem is, I don't know what to update about.  I could do the typical update  " so yeah, i've been really busy and stuff.  umm I enjoyed my holiday break blah blah blah..."  but that's so boring so i'm going to tell you a funny story (at least I find it funny).  MJ, one of the ladies that works at CCI (my place of employment) was talking to Britt and I last week at lunch.  First you have to understand this lady, her accent is so thick she is almost un-understandable. She proceeds to tell us that she once had a cheating husband, whom she is divorced from now.  Back when she first found out he was cheating on her she was furious and wanted some way of "getting back at him"  so the first thought that comes to her mind is hot peppers.  Now you wonder how is hot peppers going to get back at her husband for cheating on her.  Well MJ using her creative mind slices those hot peppers open, proceeds to the bedroom where she pulls out her husbands underwear and rubs that hot pepper with that acidy hot juice all over the inside of his underwear.... in a qoute of MJ, in a thick chinese accent " I wanted those balls to fall off."

One of my "myspace" friends wrote this and I thought it was amazing, it's long but definately worth the read.

......................................................................................

Today, it may seem, is just a different day filled with the same things. You sit before the monitor of your computer screen and take breaths as you read these words. Just another round of exploring MySpace, as your life races towards its completion. But, ask yourself, how often do you stop to ponder the miracle of life the passes through your lungs? And even still, how someone could take away that very air and you would cease to be.

You did not breathe life into yourself. Your parents did not create you from thin air. But the God of the universe did. He created all things. He created the air which is filling your lungs in these moments. It is in His power to take that air away. He created the gravity which holds you to the ground. It is in His power to remove it and release you into orbit. The mere fact that you ‘are’ hangs upon His decision to sustain the laws of nature and body which allow you to live right now. We do not uphold the laws of nature, and we do not sustain the fact that there is such a thing as air – so our life is not our own, but His. He makes the rules. He says when there is air in your lungs and when it ceases to be. He says whether or not there is food on your table. He says whether or not you will wake up in the morning. It is silly to think that we deserve any control over our own lives.

But we reject Him. We deny Him. We ignore Him, and mock Him. The One who breathed life into us all, we run away from. His son Jesus came to be with us, and we spit on Him, mocked Him, beat Him, and crucified Him. We deserve to have our plug pulled. We rest in the hands of God, hands which should very well crush us for what we do to Him – we deny the source of our life and in doing so we deny the reason we breathe. But still you breathe. Still you sit before your computer monitor. Why?

He loves you.

I rejected Him for the first 18 years of my life. I enjoyed McDonald’s, Nintendo, movies, music, and friends more than I enjoyed Him. I counted a video game and a cheeseburger as worth more to me than the God who gave me life. I savored a movie and a song more than I savored the supplier of my breath. I counted the company of a friend as more than the company of the universe’s creator. I should be dead. But He loves me, so my heart still beats.

But today is different. Today I've given Him my heart - the heart that beats because of Him. Today I’ve finally embraced the reason I breathe. Today can be that day for you too. He loves you. He makes your heart beat, even when you ignore Him with your life.

You don’t have to live for a cheeseburger and a video game anymore. You can hope for something more than just the new movie and the next album. You can have a true friend who has already been nailed to a cross to wash away all the times you’ve rejected Him.

You are breathing today. There is a reason for it – bigger than fame and riches and reputation. And, for most of your life you’ve most likely been living a life that has nothing to do with Him. But let today be different. Don’t just be another person in the crowd. Pick yourself up off of the floor and move. Run into His arms – into the arms of the one who keeps you breathing. Love Him, with all of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your strength. Live your life thanking the one in whose hands you rest. Live your life sharing the truth of the only thing that is true. Live your life in Him, and not in yourself. Give your life, give your heart, and give your all to the one who determines the beat of your heart.

You were meant to live for so much more.

" But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
